The Aqara Door and Window Sensor T1 (DW-S03D) is a refined and updated version of the brand's classic contact sensor, designed specifically for the global market. Its main improvement lies in the integration of the Zigbee protocol 3.0,, which not only drastically reduces response times for your automations but also improves energy efficiency and signal stability within your smart home’s mesh network.
Unlike the previous version, the T1 series supports over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, ensuring that the device always has the latest security and performance improvements from Aqara. It works as simply as it is effectively: monitors access to windows, doors, drawers, and cabinets using a magnetic system. When paired with a compatible Aqara Hub, it acts as an instant trigger to turn on lights, pause the air conditioner if you open a window, or activate your alarm system's siren.
